The Network Support Officer plays a key role in carrying out all activities regarding the School Enterprise Challenge, as well as supporting on network activities and other areas of project management:
1. School Enterprise Challenge (SEC)
Recruit and support schools to participate in the School Enterprise Challenge, including delivering workshops.
2. Network Support and Capacity Building for Schools
Support the business planning and implementation of school businesses and education planning through the Enterprising Schools Network, Central America
3. Monitoring and Evaluation, and Project Management Support
Measure progress and evaluate impact of the project. Support the Coordinator to manage the network.
4. Communication and Learning
Contribute to communication materials and the continued development of the Teach A Man To Fish model.
5. Participate in Technical Assistance Work
Undertake consultancy and training projects or distance learning courses with partner organisations as required within Latin America.
6. Miscellaneous
Ad hoc services in connection with the above in support of the objects of Teach A Man To Fish.
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will have
•Experience preparing and holding engaging workshops
•Some experience in setting up and running a business to such an extent as to comfortably be able to hold workshops and support sessions with schools, or
•Some experience of business/entrepreneurship
•Some experience working in an NGO, particularly in connection with education or entrepreneurship
•A passion for NGO work, enterprise and education
•Fluent English and Spanish
•Be an excellent and engaging communicator with the ability to write high quality narrative reports as well as upbeat social media entries, and the confidence to represent Teach A Man To Fish in front of potential partner organisations and government bodies
•Evidence of a‘can do’ attitude, highly motivated, outgoing
•An ability to influence and facilitate people changing and adapting the way they do things
•Strong organizational skills, a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong IT skills (familiarity with Word & Excel)
•Highly flexible, with the disposition to take on ad-hoc tasks and travels to Honduras or Guatemala
•Tech-savvy, especially in the use of social media
Desirable:
•Previous experience of working with accounts or budgets
•Experience working with young people
•An undergraduate degree, preferably in Business Administration, Education, International Development
•Knowledge in teaching or tutoring
•Knowledge of video-editing and how to make engaging learning videos
•Knowledge of the education system in Central American
countries
•Drivers’ license
Benefits:
•One return flight to Nicaragua, if based outside of Nicaragua

Salary :A stipend of $ 500-700 per month, depending on experience
Hours:35-45 per week
Duration:1 Year, subject to 2 months’ probation period
Setting:Managua or León, Nicaragua
