We are seeking a Database Administrator who will be responsible for installation, administration and maintenance of MySQL and MariaDB servers. You will work with Data Scientists to define efficient schemas, stored procedures, SQL, data integration and transformations as needed. Provide consultation and implementation of data hygiene, security, and storage. Recommend and implement best of breed technology solutions for managing and analyzing data for our various clients.

Skills & Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience providing administration services
• Extensive MySQL experience with various storage engines
• MySQL replication, SQL and shell scripting, query optimization
• Experience with DB deployment and use of monitoring tools
• Experience with large data sets and strategies to deal with them
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux based systems (CentOS)
• MapR (Hadoop), Hive
• Experience in high traffic OLTP environment
• Nagios, Cacti monitoring
• Familiar with ETL tools and processes
• Experience deploying in cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience in Source Control Systems (SVN, Git)
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality
• Must be Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent written, and verbal negotiation skills (Third language is a plus)
• TOEFL/TOEIC certificate is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
