The Operations Support Analyst will be responsible for performing the day-to-day functions associated with requisition creation and purchase order monitoring, as well as project management/billing systems day-to-day tasks and activities as they pertain to financial and accounting month-end close.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collect data and create reports to support business needs as required
- Validate and process data export
- Correct errors in general ledger, balance and upload files
- Post vendor charges to appropriate projects to ensure collection of external and internal charges
- Post and print invoices as required
- Initiate, review and approve new suppliers via the internal accounts payable system while following company purchasing policies and procedures
- Create requisitions
- Scan and submit invoices to accounts payable system
- Monitor invoices for supplier payment
- Monitor purchase order balance for supplier payments
- Submit special project summary invoices
- Track invoice accruals for month-end close
- Prepare international billing for intercompany system
- Collect, analyze and maintain appropriate files, documents, and reports
- Research and resolve billing disputes/errors
Skills:
- Working knowledge of general accounting methods, accounts receivable/payable and general ledger functions
- Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
- Efficient and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to investigate, analyze and evaluate data, troubleshoot, and solve problems quickly and completely
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Communicate effectively in a virtual team environment
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a billing/accounting role
- AS degree or equivalent
- MS Office Suite experience with strong Excel skills
- Experience with Clients & Profits project management system a plus
